In melghat , Under public-private partnership 22 counselor from the Local korku tribe were selected and trained to serve the community through infrastructure 3 years back. The program was running well all over melghat since last 2 and half year. But suddenly our DHO found faults in it.
His main intention was to dismantle this public private partnership so that he could work ‘freely’ in his own style without being answerable to anybody. So he made false litigations on this counselors and in a meeting, he forced the medical officers to give a ‘back-date’ written statement that the work of counselor is not up to the mark. So the old counselor were removed and some new one were appointed who only know the korku language but are by no means, suitable and trained, to work in health department.
Against this our friends, pournima upadhyay and bandya sane went to the court with a PIL.
And ultimately they won the battle there. Now to again restart the case, our honorable DHO is collecting false evidences and again started pressurizing medical officers and staff to give false statement in front of the committee who will be coming to examine the exact situation!!

hurray! our first win
The news shared in this blog as " WHATS MY FAULT " in which a medical officer was releived for no obvious cause.
We kept a regular follow of the events after that and just today his termination orders are cancelled and he has been given new orders without any clause.
Sharing herewith a copy of those re-appointment orders.
Just you all could see the smile on his face back again and so also his trust in honesty.
well.
Thats the strength when we start to raise our voice...
Why This Blog
The frequent question many a people asked is ,'

Let me try to answer for the first question;-
1. Why this blog?
I came across this corruption case and decided that if the situation is so much favourable and the officer is asking for the money so easily, torturing the subordinates for the same purpose, at times abusing the female workers then perhaps this was an easy case for us.
And we tried and tried in vainly using every single method we could count but the result was a big zero. The rules inside the system and some loopholes in ACB(anti corruption bureau) make it more easy for many to run corrupt practices with , off course, caution. Like in ACB a witness should be present at the time of demand and the same person should be present when the money is given; now those who know the rule never allow a third person to get in and never get caught or even if a case stand on them , they are not found guilty.
Then we ended up with approaching the higher officials in there system. But...
-they too have their set of enquiry,
-then putting the proposal,
-if any verdict found or investigating officer is good then only some action is taken and that too of a mild degree or if the senior official is managed, no action is taken or if the person has political back-up then nothing happens.
So ultimately we felt that the people should know what exactly is happening in the system which is built up to make the life of people and their day-to-day activities, easier. And people should also know that the officers are actually government servants meant to serve the people, who form the government.
And mostly this matters are kept confidential as nobody wants to get everyone know that he had been screwed for money or other things.
So we want all of us to speak up;-
- What you feel about corruption.
- Do you agree with it or against it.
- Is anything similar happening with you, anywhere in this world.
- Are you going to support a corruption free society?
- If any innocent person is suffering, are you going to support him, at least
Commenting that he/she is not alone.
- Why people have a mentality to get into corrupt practises.
- Is the system, the circumstances and atmosphere it created, is responsible for it.
- Pointing some loop-holes in the system and ideas to overcome them.
So this blog is all about a platform to speak up ourselves, share if something wrong is happening somewhere, and support the victim of it by various means and perhaps we could start getting expert advises from some really good officers who work in the system.
2. Is it going to work?
= the answer is a big YES and also a NO
Its working principle is governed by various dynamics.
It works when
- We are continuously supporting some incident and giving a feed back.
- We go on speaking our ideas about system and its remodification.
- We are in as a interactive group.
- Creating a pressure group by sending link of this blog to senior officers and
Making them aware that many people are following this case and there name and
Working pattern will be in question if they do not take actions or got managed.

- And we as a whole keep on growing and helping each other.
Just let everyone know that enough is enough.
We are born human and have every right to live as human, and our destiny is not meant to knock the door of silent exploitation every now and then...
WHEN THE ACTION IS GOING TO BE TAKEN
Melghat is a tribal belt with korku tribe living there from centuries.
Due to its geography and forrest area, many basic infrastructure is not present there like lights, communication methods, concrete roads, etc.
Slowly the picture is changing.
But the problem of malnutrition and child deaths due to communicable disease is very high in this region.
And this region is infact famous for its high child mortality and maternal mortality.
But due to this corrupt practises the development is going to reach there afetr centuries and till then many childrens and mothers will keep on dying likewise only.
This concern letter was given to senior officials and the actions are awaited still now.
Many points are covered in this letter to senior officials.
And till the actions are going to be taken, thousands of our tribal brothers are going to live there in the same adverse conditions.
WHAT'S MY FAULT
There are different areas allotted to medical officers in phc (primary health centre)
But it is under one head only.
If a person is not present due to some reason, other one look over it for a while.
This doctor was doing his duty , on sunday, at his phc headquater because due to one or the other reason the doctors there were on leave.
And this medical officer was performing his duty in extreme interior of melghat, a tribal belt, on sunday!
But as he was working there and left his place and came to his headquater, the dho terminated him from his job without obvious reason and notice.
And one person who was illegally absent there was not even asked any explanation!!
And now our medical officer is thinking , exactly what was his fault.
What was expected of him
-to sit at his centre or perform duty in camp at headquarter
HELP US , DEAR SENIORS
it is not like the senior officials , who are in charge , dont know anything. but actions are not taken till now. atleast it seems so.
so to whom shall the sufferer approach.
to politicians, or local leaders who just put there weightage on this things only.
it is only because our democrats do not take some actions , the people have to approach these leaders.
and beware, the local politics is really a dirty place.
or we had made it dirty??
PLAIN DICTATORSHIP
the doctors who had served the government for more than 20-25 years are so treated that 10 people took voluntary retirement scheme(vrs)
on one hand the government is finding it difficult to run its health infrastructure due to unavailbility of doctors, and on other hand officers are nearby forced to take VRS.
and moreover now there is a demand of money to release the amount of VRS scheme.

just a small paper cutting of one such incidence where he harrashed a medical officer over one complaint and releived him from the duty but when money was put on his table that medical officer was given thorough honour and was given transfer as per his choice.
its not that the dho alone is responsible, but ....
i am suffering , we are suffering
Corruption is such a thing which has penetrated everywhere in this country.In every offices , in every job placement , in every incentives, in learning procedures, in selections, in defence mechanism and what not.
We are paying, we are accepting and we are the only sufferers.
In return we get
1. Sub-standard teachers who destroy future of millions of childrens.
2. Unsafe society as police department is many times involved.
3. Suspscious law procedures due to involvement of lawyers and judge.
4. Unsafe living conditions as we dont know when the buildings made my cheap
material is going to fall.
5. Many policies of government are governed on terms of 'JANPEHCHAN, LAGGA
AND SECRET DEALS' like giving contracts, alcohol and petrol pump liscense..
6. Sub-standard doctors who only know how to charge more and more money.
7. Many more dull people get into the system who has no vision for development and
there sole purpose in the syetem is to recover the money they spended while
entering in the system.
Perhaps everyone of us is a sufferer. EVERYONE OF US.
But the problem is that what we are doing for it.
Thinking but not Speaking, Speaking but not Acting likewise,Acting but in a informal way, and so on and on and on
BUT..
If the anganwadi has to look for childrens for 350 days and get a holidays for 15 days a year - the payment is 2000/mnth
The gramsevak who might have to look many gram panchayats and viilages and travel far and wide to solve problems of villagers- 3000/mnth
Same conditions of shikshan sevaks.
Same condition many more under paid workers.
They have to sustain there families , educate there childrens, do household things , and if possible - make some savings.
Many people climb up step by step in promotions and bring with them many bitter experiences as they become the boss.
And they are accoustoumed to do work only when they see the money.
The hunger gradually increses because the system also want its commission from that
post.
More money flows in and out .
And many more get affected by it.
In turn they also take revenge when they come to power.
The chain is right from top to bottom and the top one are most responsible as they gives a wrong message to many working under him.
soooooo..
now what to do.
where we stand.
can we discuss it .
can we do something for it.
ummmmmmm.
ummmmmm
may be, WE CAN.
LETS JUST GIVE IT A TRIAL.
May be we can discuss some loop holes in the system and may be we can suggest some thing to fill those gaps.!
May be we can create a pressure group
May be we could just share.
